The Irrational, Unshakable Faith of the Collusion Conspiracists

I don’t know if “I don’t know” works. Mueller was brought on because he is a twice confirmed by the Senate, has handled the highest level investigations and ran the fbi with distinction for 12 years. It is a tall order to find a better person than that for this job.

I don’t acknowledge your point about Mueller having been a mentor to Comey being particularly important considering it’s a small world at the level these guys operate at.

I see. So Mueller had no conflict in other cases and was approved for other roles so that automatically means he does not have a conflict in this one. Nice. Good thing that honest judges don't decide to recuse or not recuse based on this same logic. "hey, I was unanimously approved by the senate, and I have a good reputation so nevermind that my son or my mentee is the defendant this time and we worked side by side in the same office for years."

The special counsel statute or rules says that the special counsel shall not have an established relationship with any of the key witnesses. Try to wrap your head around that a little before saying it is not "particularly important." How you feel is not the deciding factor. In regard to these guys operating in a "small world", well, that's the point. There is a big world out there. There is no requirement that the special counselor come from the same little world that comey was in.

You don't see these points because it is not convenient for you to see them. If a special investigator is appointed for Hillary, you will suddenly see them.

Maybe you should familiarize yourself with the Steven Hatfill debacle that Mueller presided over for the FBI, and Comey helped with, before you make such grandiose statements. It was one of the biggest black eyes in the history of the FBI.

He's been a walking disaster to law enforcement, but he's loyal to his paymasters. And that's why all the Trump haters in DC coveted him for the job.

In the Hatfill episode:

1. The senate leaned on Mueller to 'solve this case'.
2. Mueller promptly pinned the crime on someone (Hatfill) that was innocent. It was a debacle for the FBI.
3. Comey backed Mueller up on the whole thing.

Now see why the never trumpers were elated at a Mueller appointment.
He'll 'get the job done for them', if you know what i mean.

Is that what you think?

Seeing as how they suspect Russia tampered by virtue of the Crowdstrike analysis,
and they suspect Trump colluded via the GPS Fusion dossier,
how could any rational person think otherwise?

Trump is presently giving (reading) a speech in Salt Lake City. His intonation and inflection are equivalent to those of a 10-year-old in remedial class reading a passage for the first time. How unfortunate that national embarrassment is not an impeachable offense.
If it were, Justin Bieber Trudeau would have been removed from office right after he was inaugurated.

Ok. Well we’ve made our points and there has been no serious legal or political challenges I know of to Mueller violating any established relationship clauses so I guess we just have to live with it. Maybe write your congressman?

I’m some tv types will continue down this path but I don’t think this is an important factor in the investigation.

We don’t know exactly when the fbi picked up on this stuff. At the earliest was something like June 2016 with manafort on a fisa warrant, but maybe earlier.

Best thing to do is just to appoint a biased witch hunter for Hillary. And then you can just live with that.

When you renew your subscription to google then just search on "Hillary" and read for a while.

Let us know what you find.

The best thing to do is for Trump and his goons to cooperate with the special counsel and for Hillary to enjoy a retirement.

Politicizing the appointment of a special counsel doesn’t help anyone or anything. Clinton has been through numerous investigations from the fbi and congress. All of which have turned up nothing.

Trump is facing his first special counsel investigation because he fired James Comey then went on tv and said he did it because of the fbi investigation into Russia. He did it to himself.

You guys need to come to terms with the fact that Trump brought this on himself.
