The intraday is a casino

My advice to you - do not place even one more trade before you watch the whole 4 parts (long, I know but worth the time if you want to be the owner of the casino, not the loser plays slot machine)

Funny, my addiction to trading began when I was eleven, but it was standing at the craps table when I was sixteen, that I determined with specificity what I wanted to do when I grew up... be the house!

It's not a casino if you can trade off 1 min chart and follow the trend. The market usually has some momentum in one direction and if you can consistently detect the start of a trend and get in you will profit over long time.

I like 5 hour chart$, MERC 4Hi;
but I seldom day=trade. I remember in school I looked all around my typing class, about 80% good looking girls.TO GET good typing grades , had to be fast and accurate; so I did not do grade ''a''. LOL. If I have to move fast; I want to shoot ducks like Paul tudor Jones or shotgun shoot doVes.LOL.
I cant think of a harder way to make a million bucks/short term trade; investing in the stock market can make millions , do it long enough. I hand drew a hand chart on my last DEC daytrade=slower than a printer. LOL-LOL/true:D:D,:caution::caution::caution:,:caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution: INtra=day is not a casino; card count + win in Vegas + see hoW far you get..............................................................May want to trade a few times off investment profits; may not!!

Someone agrees?

For most but not for some.

Yesterday was my first time outside by myself after a recent surgery. I almost got hit by a car crossing the street. If someone had asked me at that moment if walking across the street was like a casino...

I would have said YES. :(

Currently not trading this setup due to time constraints and my inability to barely automate my alarm clock let alone trading. It is profitable 1 point a day ES with 1 trade. I will teach my daughter to do it when she becomes a stay at home Mom.

Trade at the open if gap is 3+ points.
Fade the gap looking for 3 points regardless of gap size.
81% of the time you're done by EOD
The other trades either hit 3 points on day 2 or you exit EOD day 2.
92.5% close profitably.

NO STOPS, biggest loser was 50 points. It's not for everyone.

I hope your daughter has a husband to fund her trading losses by that time.

Not sure how you backtested this, but when I do it shows only 2019 YTD is profitable near 1 pt per day on average. 2018 was four times less profitable and so was 2012. All other years between 2009 and 2019 were showing losses.

Am I missing something or did you only backtest last year/last 12 months?

Yes, I see it due to their principles of the game. It's obvious that they are a gamble game, and more specifically - casinos. I'm an old gamble guys who started playing these bad games in 80's and I can say for sure that I'm a professional. My advice to everyone is that is in not so easy playing there as everybody thinks because it is an art)) Now I've started playing on clubvip777 not because I need money but because of it is like a drug for me and I already can't leave without it.

Nice casino!

Ed Sekota said intraday is a slot machine + thats why he does eod/end of day.
Great quote , but i dont trade slot machines + when he made that comment comissions were much HIGHER/LOL......................................................................................:D:D:D:D:D:D:D [Edit not an ad for day ttrades or slot machines ]

Gee I wonder where you got the idea of newbie.

I obviously don't have 100 checks. Don't take it so literally. But i do have a checklist which partially gets filled automatically.

Edit: Also the checklist was borne out of the observation that less trading is better which means waiting for the right setup with more patience.
