Yes Luke,Newt and the rest of the republicans were responsible for the spending cuts part of the deal that balanced the budget

The problem with a republican congress is they never put pressure on a republican president to balance the budget

I disagree. Most of that spending that fiscal year happened on Obama's watch.

But take that year out if you want. The chart still shows Obama has been the biggest spender this country has ever seen. Deficits have been over $1 trillion every year for Obama.
