Having an ignore list is essential if you have limited time to spend here. Ignore means that you won't click on threads started by the offender, and many ignorable oafs tend to start 20 threads per week per alias. Come to think of it, I may have played a small part in convincing Baron to configure the site in that way.

Instead, you ignore any of that and just do what you do best: flame and troll.

The ET ignore feature is the only effective ignore feature I've ever come across.

All the other boards still let you see the banned person's ID with a "view post" button, which of course you're always tempted to press.

I don't know why other boards don't do it like ET.
