I'd say it's the other way around. It's guys like T28 and his ilk who don't have the discipline to let people post whatever they want without responding to every post the disagree with. The ignore feature simply filters out the noise and allows you to skim the threads without having to read the bullshit of those who are... well, bullshitters. It's impossible to keep the names of all the idiots in your head and scan the post header to make sure the author isn't one of them, and do this for every post you read.
