I've been compiling an ignore list over the past week or so. I've noticed that it seems to have a disproportionately large 'weeding' effect on these forums:
Stocks
Psychology
Politics & Religion

By and large, it leaves the serious forums alone. I never thought I'd like this feature as much as I do.

I am a a moron, you see..... here is my logic

I have nobody on ignore even those I consider to be hopelessly stupid.

yeah that makes sense- you seem like a moron,, obviously
one of the trools with multiple aliases

I don't care about ignore button but it's daily challenge for me to scan this site daily and be disciplined enough not to react to non-sense and just leave.

Not multi-alias teenagers, but multi-alias teenage-brained naive adults thinking they are making an impact to the World.

The truth: there is always people destined to be a forum joker.

This is why Baron should have taken the suggestion of making ET a paid subscriber website, but he refused to do so and that is why we have all sorts of "paper-trader" wannabees littering the TRADING FORUM with one "cut and paste" job after another.

ET poster S2007S admits that he does not TRADE for a living ( or TRADE period ) and yet he has > 7600 posts on ET with many of them littering the TRADING FORUM.

Go figure.

Thankfully, there are a few very knowledgeable posters on this board and they seem to hang out in the "Hardware" and "Technical Analysis" Forums.

It's the only reason I continue to log-on to ET.

Thank you Landis for your comments on myself being a knowledgeable poster. I see your opinion has changed about me.
