The ignore feature - improvement request

I really did not know...I just recognized the writing style..

Yes, Baron allowed me to change user names after I requested such. After his approval he then put in the profile of the user name NihabaAshi a message that specifically states the following...

Biography - change user name to wrbtrader
Occupation - change user name to wrbtrader

Next, he disable the user name NihabaAshi log-in so that it can't be used again. Also, I posted several public messages here at ET about my user name change via the following example in my Trading Hammers (revisited) thread @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2746600#post2746600

For the record, Tsing's preoccupation with the ignore feature ...
Tsing Tao gets upset by me as well.
However he's always the one abusing and swearing at me.
I just ignore him.
Maybe he needs a hobby ?

Actually I find Tsing Tao's posts to be sensible and down-to-earth and your posts to be paranoid and delusional. On Ignore.

I agree with the OP, ignore should mean ignore including quotes.

Actually he is one of the more reasonable members here. If you have a problem with him, the problem is most likely YOU.

Heh...I didn't see GrandStupidCycle's posts - I put him on ignore long ago so the plethora of identical threads in the trading forum (all useless, by the way) didn't clog up my viewing of the forum.

But I most certainly never found anything he ever said as even remotely upsetting, and am thoroughly amused to hear him believe that. Stupid is as stupid does, I guess.

Why not just use the mouse to scroll on down the ET highway?
The best way to ignore a poster is to not read nor respond to that poster.

So under your philosophy there shouldn't even be an ignore feature in the first place.

Under my philosophy you shouldn't NEED it, not that it shouldn't exist.
The only instance I can see a need for the disciplined trader is hundreds of spamming posts clogging up the system.

Spamming is not going to happen...
