The IG Report is Here & it blames Comey for being too tough on Clinton!

Portions of Horowitz’s report were leaked to Bloomberg, and they apparently conclude that even though Comey didn’t act through “political bias,” he hurt the FBI when he “deviated” from standard procedures with how he handled the Clinton email investigation.

“While we did not find that these decisions were the result of political bias on Comey’s part, we nevertheless concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice.”

The news comes after previous drafts of Horowitz’s review reportedly found Comey “insubordinate” when dealing with higher authority. Much of this had to do with Comey’s irregular announcement of Clinton’s exoneration, as well as his surprise decision to re-open the email investigation just before the 2016 election.

Horowitz’s report is of great interest to President Donald Trump and his allies, who hope it will prove the alleged corruption and bias of the FBI and DOJ.

Anti-Trump Texts
Republican critics seized on previous revelations from the inspector general that two FBI officials who worked on Mueller’s Russia investigation, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, exchanged text messages sharply critical of Trump. Mueller removed Strzok from the inquiry after the texts were discovered, and Page has since left the FBI.

One example cited in the new report is an exchange of texts between Strzok and Page on Aug. 8, 2016. Page questioned whether Trump would become president. Strzok replied: “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.”

But Horowitz said in the report to be issued Thursday that “we did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative actions we reviewed.” Still, he wrote that “the conduct by these employees cast a cloud over the entire FBI investigation.”

Is it weird that trumptards to are now bashing the report they had wet dreams about last night?

LOL - they're calling for a civil war or revolution over at Breitbart. They are actually discussing their chances of winning a war against the Deep State.

Can confirm “readers” at Breitbart are losing their minds:

The IG is the be all, end all on this stuff.

No he's not. He is an Obama appointee with a limited jurisdiction and institutional incentives to play ball with the career , ie leftwing democrat, staff.

I was afraid that people were counting on the democrat IG to do what Trump's own party lacked the stones to do, namely root out the corruption in the DOJ and FBI under Obama.

Trump can't even get his own DOJ to release incriminating documents to congress. It's like Eric Holder is still AG. He might as well be.

I moved this over to treefrogs thread on the IG

Sounds about right, and in pursuing for the report, they just cleared Rosenstein from any concerns of aiding in obstruction.

Trump could've used the same defense, but instead chose to confess the crime on national TV.

All the right wingers are feeling real depressed right now. It’s like when you find out there is no tooth fairy. I almost feel bad for the little guys.
