Quote from Kassz007:
Surely you can't be serious...I didn't think anyone still thought that HIV was a gay phenomena...
Put to death? What about thou shall not kill? Or does that rule only apply when it is convenient?
It is. HIV is still something like 90% homosexual related.
In leviticus it makes it clear that when someone is to be put to death that "the blood is on their own heads" Meaning the person killing that person is not guilty of murder.
Also to be clear...the bible does not say its ok to kill homosexuals...it says only to kill people that commit homosexual acts.
In my opinion, if you knew you could be killed for doing something wrong, that would severly stop you from doing the said thing. If you know nothing will happen to you, it encourages you to do wrong.
Look at what happens in the world when bad people think they cant be punished. The do the worst thing imaginable. Look at all the looting that happens when things like hurricane katrina happen and all the police are gone and there is no chance people will get arrested for stealing. They all go ahead and steal. If there was a man with a shotgun in the store though, do you think they would steal? No...because the best deterant in the world is the fear of death.
Let people do what they want and they will do whatever they want.
