The Hype-inflation Cycle Has Begun

I am not a fatalist; I also happen to have strong convictions when it comes to standing for what is right and telling truth in times where it is considered treason (or at least 'tin foil hat wacko).

Look at Europe and youth unempl. rates and the implications not just economically, but also in terms of morals and values that become relativized and decayed when there is socialism. And they haven't even gone through any real austerity in terms of actually spending less than they are producing. Then again, at least there is an acknowledgement of a problem there, whereas in America people are still partying as though $17 trillion in debt and unfunded liabilities that dwarf that let alone city pension ponzis about to explode at some point. European nations need to regain sovereignty and defect and go on the gold standard. The solution is not to just print more, say, drachma. Default has to happen; reality is spent too much, and lenders to them have to pay the price for doing that. Things are not 'fixed' just because Draghi will do 'whatever it takes'.

I have my own life to live but I am not oblivious to the bread and circuses.

no stress here; even so come Lord Jesus. God's will will be done. Everything is unfolding according to His plan. May people turn to and fear Him in these troubling times that they may be a catalyst for a revival towards Him and away from the ways of this world.

a nightmarish few decades of japan style deflation seems more likely. there is no velocity in this economy so no inflation.

a lot of electricity in Florida is still made from crude

even those solar panels rely on natural resources which are in limited supply

laugh if you want, algae is where it is at

and it's a lot easier to convert algae into diesel than it is to convert it to electricity

too bad about global warming

we can burn more algae oil in one year with nothing but some sun light and some water than it took the earth a million years to produce with some dead dinosaurs

That's the first thing I thought when I saw the title of this thread. Another one of those gold bugs trying to convince themselves that they were right...despite massive evidence proving the opposite.
