The House Health Care Bill is 1990 Pages

Don't worry, though Nancy Pelosi has said that all House members will have 72 hours to review the bill.

So tell me this. How come the healthcare bill is 1990 pages and the US Constitution is 4400 words.

I guess running a healthcare system is considerably more complicated than running a country.

Reading for 12 hours a day that means they'll have to read an average 55 pages an hour. Not that anyone will.

It comes out to $2,200,000 per WORD.

I love it. This is going to be the biggest train wreck the Dems have ever seen. Harry's playing to the crowd in NV, Pelosi is playing to the far, far left.

You are right, running a healthcare system in the 21st century IS more complicated than a statement of principles from the 18th century.

Of course. The Constitution is about "people's freedom from government".

Obamacare is all about "the government so far up our collective asses, we can taste the Brylcreme in the back of our throats"... That's waaayyyy more complicated.

And it's not like skimming over a Nancy Drew novel.

Any Health Care Bill w/o a robust public option is to the health care insurers as the bailout bill was to banks. Free money for paper pushers.

If the goal is real reform of health care, why would you need a govt run option? We are also talking about reforming the banks and lenders, yet no one has suggested a govt run bank.

Imo, the fact they feel the need for a "public option" gives the lie to the whole business. It's not true reform and they know it. There is no other reason for a govt run option.

It's a way around the insurers' exemption from anti-trust laws.
