Obama and his minions have managed to politicize pretty much the entire government. They identify committed leftists like Lois Lerner and put them into important positions, from where they can act like soviet political commissars, monitoring the bureaucracy for anything potentially damaging or directing attacks on opponents.

Today's WashPost has a long article about a White house advance guy who was involved in the prostitute scandal in columbia. His father was a big donor and lobbyist. The DHS covered up his involvement, despite a lot of evidence. It infuriated the Secret Service, because several of their people got fired or censured over the same thing.
Basically, you cannot believe anything they say. They are all liars. It's hard to think of a single issue they haven't lied about, eg Fast and Furious, IRS, Benghazi, immigration, the economy, Obamacare, VA, now ebola.

Too bad that "can do" attitude wasn't there on 9/11, after which there was "a shrug of the shoulders and the who knew look".
I didn't say end, I said prevent. We can do things that make terrorist attacks more difficult for them to pull off. Things that are of substance. What we're trying to do with climate change is of no real significance. It's a spit in the ocean type of deal.
The real problem is that we have a president who is willing to commit more resources to climate change than he is to fighting terrorism. Terrorism is an immediate and clearly defined threat. Fighting climate change at best is decades, maybe centuries away, and is extremely subjective as to what any actual threat may be. Doesn't matter what the temp is a hundred years from now to the woman who just had her head chopped off last week. Doesn't matter to the tens of thousands that ISIS is enslaving and/or slaughtering as we carry on this discussion. Ebola is killing people today. There is no cure for it at the moment. It's rapidly spreading abroad. Both Ebola and terrorism are too easily transported across our borders, so one might think it prudent to shore up our otherwise very porous border. Frankly I don't see what the debate is.
