The GOP should make Trump Speaker of the House

The far-right is going cuckoo and proposing Trump for speaker.... as expected. However there are only a dozen or so nutcases in the House who will support this. Most it is performative nonsense by these representatives to show to their base how MAGA they are.

Trump would be a great figurehead Speaker, but he is not interested in the day to day minutia of getting votes etc. ---He would be great if he could just set policy and have the leaders under him do the paperwork.

Make Trump the Speaker of the House? One little problem. Any GOP leader indicted for a felony cannot serve in a House leadership position.

"Rep. Sean Casten (D-Il.) gave his Republican colleagues a reminder of Rule 26, which was adopted in January and states that any GOP leader indicted of a felony with a potential prison sentence of 2 years or more needs to step aside."

Yeah but he's not Catholic. I don't think he can be Pope.
