The GOP Should Be Worried About Texas

Evidently the FBI has reopened the classified email investigation.

On election day one candidate will have an active FBI investigation of serious security violations underway.

More likely it is an FBI investigation over trading favors from her office in exchange for donations.

There is mention of "additional emails" by Comey so I took that to mean it was email/server related.

Perhaps those emails relate instead to the quid pro quo items as you say. That does seem more likely.

In my opinion... unless the email directly identify someone who was copying classified information into an email & sending it to Hillary ("saying something like 'This is classified'") then I think that the investigation is more likely proceeding down a different track over misuse of office and public corruption - charges that are usually much easier to prove in court.

Not sure about that.I think Kasich and Romney might have won but I don't see anyone else from the 2016 GOP field doing it.

Dems have won the popular vote in 5 of the last 6 presidential elections and gotten at least 250 electoral votes in the last 6 presidential elections, its going to be extremely hard to beat any democratic candidate if a dope like John Kerry can get 251 electoral votes against a sitting President.

That said this was a good year for The GOP to win.IMO the best chance for the GOP to win is not facing an incumbent President,a good GOP nominee and a bad democratic nominee. You got 2 out of the 3 but but picked a GOP candidate worse than Hillary. With demographics as they are even a good GOP candidate might not have been enough though.

Spot on.

I made an exception with Trump to my rule of not supporting first time candidates to national office. I knew he was likely trouble, but he was the only one connecting with the base.

I give the HRC campaign credit for destroying Trump. It helps when the media all work for you and the FBI plays ball, but still, someone had to pull it all together. The timing of the hot mic recording ("grab 'em by the pussy") and the waterfall of wounded bimbos was textbook. You neutralized the Bill as sex predator problem plus pulled trump down to his level, AND monopolized all the news talk. The Kahzir Kahn human shield ploy was riskier but it must have come off even better than anyone expected. Trump could not leave it alone. He lacked the experience to recognize a live grenade.

It's hard to believe it only took really two ops to take Trump down. He had immigration, terrorism, race riots, the whole email thing, the foundation and selling access, Bill, etc so many targets and he never really registered one solid hit. A couple of glancing blows and near misses, sure but nothing that took the news off the fact that he called a girl fat and was mean.
