Heres my conspiracy theory du-jour
In the 'he who has the gold, makes the rules' category we have....
Goldman Sachs and assorted LBO artists like Blackstone ---- who are maybe gettin a little nervouse that those pesky Chinese and other Asians are actually gaining some econmic power because of all the pallets of US 20 dollar bills being shipped there on a daily basis
So with a little 'financial engineering' --- they cooked up some nice products to sell the whole world ---- knowing it was a house of cards ---
then shorted the heck out of it before anyone knew what was going on----
just to be sure they are the guys who continue to get to make the rules
now, I know this theory needs a little work
but hey, its late
