are you kidding me? One does not have to be left or right to realize something is completely fucked up. FYI, even in Kenia schools have sufficient budgets to be properly equipped with stationary, in many places in the US teachers actually have to buy them out of their own pockets if they want to use stationary at all and not draw imaginary circles in the air.
PS: the budget allocations have not changed much and looked very similar in 2015 or 2016 as well, so let's not make this about left or right. This is an American problem not a Republican or Democratic one.

military spending is 61%of the discretionary budget but 17.5% of the total budget. militarily spending is not exactly discretionary.

You are talking aside the core point. How come there is a 5% education budget but a multiple is spent on military spending? What for? Wage more wars? For which purpose? Domestically the country in many places has turned into a third world shit hole while the 1% are building fences around themselves and live in gated communities. US is quickly turning into South Africa in many places. And yet the poor and Middle class are dumb enough to have their hard earned dollars turned into military spending to wage wars the poor have to send their sons, not the rich. How dumb can people really be to not see through this trickery? In France and other nations people get on the street and fight further tax increases, in the US the middle class and below happily obliges to get raped. When will the revolution start in the US?
