I know this might sound racist to some, but culturally it is the truth. However, economically they are needed. You think the spoiled gen X/Yers are going to do the jobs that Mexicans are willing to do? No way in hell...
That is the funniest, stupidest thing I have heard in a long time. Yea, the Fed and globalists manipulating and plundering our economy had absolutely nothing to do with it. Yea it was all the black people who bought homes that are responsible. Cause you know, white people are not defaulting on their mortgages right now, yea theyâre doing just fineQuote from Scataphagos:
What started the housing mess was Government (specifically the Democrats in 1999), passing legislation which demanded that people who were not financially qualified for a mortgage loan be given one anyway... all done to buy political favor.
Bigger troubles and offenses followed, but "Affirmative Action Lending" was the root of it all. Had the damage been limited to only sub-prime mortgage defaults, our current problems would be a mere shadow of what they are.
Where does this concept come from? We import a bunch of Mexicanâs here to do jobs that supposedly Americans wonât do. Who sayâs they wonât do them, Bush? Big corporations? The globalists? Yea because you know if there were no Mexicanâs here, the farmers in Florida would just let their oranges rot because there would be nobody willing to pick them. Also no roads would be built because Americans just donât do that kind of work. And of course weâd all let our lawns grow forever because surely white and black people would never take a job cutting grass. I mean, thatâs beneath us.Quote from short&naked:

there's nothing to be "right" or "wrong" about with regard to the marijuana issue, it's simply what happened, and it's not up for debate...
with regard to your "opportunity" assertion, i disagree, this is coming from someone who grew up and went to college in the united states, who has traveled europe and is now an expatriate... your response was clearly an emotional one and is hence something you will probably not consider revising, so regardless of what evidence you are presented with, you will retain your position... but i'd say that there is LESS upward mobility in the USA than most of the G20 and first world nations... lol @ "undoubtedly"
Quote from Trader666:
More bullshit. We did have a debate about the marijuana laws in Alabama and you totally lost the debate and all credibility... you desperately posted the wrong laws and even tried to cloud it with some story about a "friend's experience" but this was the final result:http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2388683#post2388683
You still haven't named a country with more raw opportunity than the United States and you never will because one doesn't exist. The GDP of the United States is almost triple that of the next largest country GDP-wise (Japan) and is almost as large as the GDP of the entire EU. But as I said it takes brains and initiative to take advantage of the opportunity here so it's a good thing you expatriated. And let me thank you for doing so... you made the United States a better country by leaving.
As for the rest of your drivel... what's laughable is that you think you're so worldly and well traveled when in fact you're just a naive, self-absorbed brat who doesn't know what he doesn't know.
