The future of the democratic party, Mattress girl and Pajama boy

I would suggest that some of your brethren (not you) are so stuck on labels that they would vote for a turd if one were to be nominated by the Republican party.

I would agree with this 100%. I would also say that some of my "brethren" as you call them would be equally unable to provide specifics behind why they support those turds.

I'd like to believe that all political conservatives with half-a-brain understand that the majority of problems we have in America with Mattress Girls, Pajama Boys, Blacks and the rest of the "parasite class"... stem from greedy, power-hungry government trying to "buy somebody's vote with somebody elses money". That's the way Leftists have managed to take over America. It started about 100 years ago. Was "kicked into high gear" with LBJ's "Great Society"... and with the final "nails in the coffin of American freedom" driven by Odumbo.

IOW... too much was given to too many for all the wrong reasons. And as a consequence... America, as envisioned by our genius Founders... is doomed to become a Leftist SHITHOLE like everywhere else in the world Leftism reigns supreme.

...Let's take this further, the first step in addressing a problem is admitting there is a problem. When anyone outlines a problem with poverty, violence, irresponsibility, educational failure, and welfare dependency in regards to a particular demographic - you immediately attack the poster as racist rather than accepting the facts. At a broader political level this occurs regularly in the liberal faction; not accepting the facts blocks any further discussion on how to solve the problems and address the root causes. Throwing more money at the issue with no associated goals has not proven to be a viable solution. This basic inability to even admit a problem exists (beyond "racism") within a community leads to generations of particular groups mired in poverty and crime with an embedded culture exhibiting warped values.

The bottom line is that the recent focus of this thread has been on censorship and free speech. In order to maintain freedom in a democratic society it is important that free speech (even distasteful speech) be allowed. No group should have the ability to censor the speech of others, all opinions must be heard to have a successful society which thrives on open discourse - and drives reasonable public policy over time.

Respectfully,

GWB
That's quite a departure from some of the ramblings I have read by certain posters in some P&R threads once someone opens the door to ridiculing the, shall we say, socioeconomically disadvantaged. The immediate rush by some to use the "N" word at the first opportunity where they think they can get away with the "context" of it is quickly followed by others. And there is mostly just hate, ridicule and the occasional call for segregation. You know I'm not making this up.

So, yeah, there is a problem, and money alone will not solve it. It is systemic and perhaps goes deeper than most care to admit. In the same way that our personalities are largely a function of our childhood experiences and how we reacted to them, this effect can be generational as well. Some break from their past and the past of their forebears while others have more difficulty in doing so. Our environment shapes much of who we are. When I read some of the posts here, I come across less understanding than resentment. And some of that resentment is quite understandable. But we could also all use a bit more understanding because, as you implied, understanding is the first step to solving a problem.

As for the free speech you referred to, a lot of it uses a very broad brush and favors labels. That kind of speech will simply serve to entrench opposing sides farther away from each other insofar as approaching a workable solution is concerned.

Just saying.

Better ideas? No, same ideas, different methods. Lets list a few.
1.Leftist establishment wants world peace through appeasement of radical Islam. Right establishment wants world peace through starting wars with no intention of ever winning the war. Both have worked so well, lets have another go. Jesus wept
2. Leftist establishment wants a stronger economy through providing a 15 dollar an hour job for the unwashed masses and a free Bachelors degree. Right establishment wants a better economy through some already failed trickle down theory that promises a few crumbs from the tables of out great Pharaohs. Jesus wept some more.
3. Leftist establishment wants to address the ever re-occurring climate change through taxes on corporations and the working poor. Right establishment says, climate change, what climate change? Jesus weeps hysterically.
4. Leftist establishment wants equality for all through wide open borders and bowing at the alter of multiculturalism. Right establishment wants... well they really don't want equality for all, but they do like the slave wage idea, so let'em in. Jesus says fuck'em, they're on their own.
Tell Jesus I said hi.

bullshit. mainstream america not just old white guys.

62% of americans oppose amnesty

only 42% of americans have favorable opinion of Obamacare

more than 50% of americans say federal taxes are too high

56% want border secured before path to citizenship

time after time the majority of americans are getting shafted by the left and the establishment republicans.

the old white guys and the not so old white guys are just part of the mainstream. Only 20% (or fewer) of americans are leftists like you guys.

We just think it is incredibly stupid that leftist drones could be supporting something which failed so miserably in comparison.

You're not reading mainstream Americans, here. You are reading the cries of desperate, older men who are terrified of the end of their own lives, and blame everyone else. This isn't the only website around that tolerates so much hate, and if the mods think combatants are getting a bit too real, they ban 'em.

Tell Jesus I said hi.
Jesus ain't coming to help, and neither is some leftist messiah or some right wing ideologue. We have to figure this out on our own, and hopping from left foot to right foot isn't going to cut it anymore.

When people go to vote next year this should be playing on the way in.
This on the way out, or perhaps the other way around.
