The Fine Tuning of the Universe

The fact that our mathematics and physics present certain constants that extend for many digits (or infinitely like Pi) isn't something tweaked with foreknowledge before the big bang. I believe that constants are just resultant values in our mathematics that allow us to model many processes. I don't see why people think anything was fine tuned.

I guess that puts me firmly in the "chance" category.

I've worked for years with certain constants in electromagnetics that relate to EM wave propagation. To me they just *are*.

I would say it puts you in a category apart from the category of those who see uncertainty as a void they can leap into and fill with pointless supernatural speculation that can't be proved false. This is yet another of the delusions occupying the minds of the religious. They would be better served had they used those same brain cells to instead store rock and roll lyrics.

How many times do I have to tell you? Just because we would be willing to believe in God if you could present to us with a compelling scientific reason doesn't mean we are religious. I can't speak for everybody, but I am not only un religious but actually anti religious (unless it makes you "feel" better).

It's those of you that refuse even the possibility of God because that would remind you of the Right Wing Christian Republicans that you hate who are the true religious fanatics.

We can go either way, God or no God, but your side can only go one way.

And that is why all democrats are whores of the devil.

(I just threw that last part on because the Man said don't cast them before swine, and I think we can all agree the democrats are godless swine who can't co exist with Him.)

I mean just look at the posts on this thread. Those that are politically conservative are open minded both to the possibility of a Creator or no creator. But those who are borderline communist left wing liberal democrats are outraged at even the talk that there may be a creator, let alone a Creator. It sets all their work back years.

I wouldn't recommend it. The pot today is more like a narcotic. Many growers search for pot that was like it was when we were kids. But you never know if it is the pot or just old age. Now you smoke and nod out, and wake up hungry and eat a panic meal and go to bed and pray for sleep. Not much fun. But beats the heck out of those pain killers the doctor prescribes.
