There is no need for the government to have debt. Private sector can borrow for themselves and put new money into the economy. Government is not to make capital investment into private sector business.Forgoing investments into our economy, because of debt would severely limit our long-term growth. Some debt does pay for itself by helping further private sector economic growth. How much debt can we take on is a reasonable question. It becomes a problem when we don't think we can grow the economy enough to pay for it.
If you look at the comments made by McCarthy himself, he does feel entitled to this job. It's mostly about how much money he's raised in our corrupt political system.I remember some Right Wingsters criticizing Hillary Clinton, claiming she felt she was owed the presidency...
Maybe some of you Rightsters should hum a few bars to better refresh my memory.
Can the Democrats elect anybody who Trump can also get behind? It can't be one of the two to impeach him or anybody who's been mildly critical of him. It basically has to be somebody who mostly keeps their mouth shut and probably isn't that well known.
So...McCarthy made absolutely zero progress. Hasn't flipped a single vote. Might be time to move on...
