The Evil Half Dozen - 6 States Faking COVID-19 Data for Political Purposes

Two wrongs are two wrongs.

Cuomo is not being given a "pass", there will be a reckoning however I can say now it is obvious that the information coming from the federal level (Trump's bag) was a problem. The left has covered this, just google it. The right... well Rudy moved the 9/11 control center to building 11 against advice and uncounted firefighters died because the fucking control center was out of action. You know, the non-working radios etc. Rudy became "America's Mayor" by brass ballsing through when he should have faced the executioner (literally). We will know the full details of Cuomo's good and bad calls here, what he could have avoided given what he knew etc. soon enough.

The boss tells me to do something and I do it but the information I was given was bad and it did not work well. Who is at fault? The guy saying everything is just fine, nothings to worry about way way way too late?

99% of the failure here has been Trump not acting earlier. Everyone who actually understands what that old exponential means understands this. Options disappeared fast.

Here this has both CNN and mentions EXPONENTIAL... explains how even a week would have halved the deaths. Trump or Cuomo's fault?

While Trump deserves his share of the blame, some may argue the lion's share, laying 99% on him is a bit thick. Perhaps it's just a figure of speech. None the less back in January/Feburary when Democrats such as Cuomo, Deblaiso and Pelosi were saying nothing to sweat, Trump was the one doing the only substantive thing at the time, restricting air travel. For his trouble he was called a racist. At the time even the esteemed Doc Fauci was not taking it as some cataclysmic event. No doubt all the above knew the meaning of exponential yet sat on their hands.March things changed as it hit the United States. The article and study you referenced, written with all the wisdom that comes with 20/20 hindsight, claims that lives "could have" been saved had earlier action been taken. Always true, always irrelevant in real time. The point is Trump was not alone in accessing the situation and plenty of people must own any indecision at the time. As to Cuomo, it's unlikely he'll ever be held to account because the people supposed to be doing the looking are laser focused trying to pin it all on one man. Not surprising considering there is a presidential election coming up and that one man must be taken down whatever the cost or consequences. My opinion, respectfully sudmitted, and it'll take a better rebuttal than I have read so far to change it.

He was called a racist because he is a racist and has a history of being very racist.

The boy who called wolf etc. and you simply cannot blame people for being suspicious of him taking into account they did not have the full facts which he held on the virus. Because he was underplaying it he did not act sooner than other world leaders and did not enact flight closure worth a damn. Covered 50 times.

You think Cuomo is cut and dry guilty of bad judgement however he was handed pure chaos by Trump and had to fight him every step. It may turn out that Trump intentionally withheld information, the federal CDC playbook was bad, that is where things are at now, we will know as the stories come out after the crisis.

You STILL (respectfully) don't understand that Trump's late action and they are indisputably late caused the country to start acting at three minutes to midnight on the exponential clock example. One week would have save lives, he had at LEAST 6. In reality he would have had MONTHS but he got rid of the US representative in the Chinese CDC.

The country had only just had H1N1 and Ebola, it was not some dim and distant thing from the past.

Or another way, you are a general, you decide to save money by firing the scouts. Now with no scout the enemy (Sam "Covid" Houston) walks right in and repeats the battle of San Jacinto. It must be the Captain Cuomo's fault for not waking up before he got a bayonet in his bed.

Trump is not a King and does not rule by decree, many other players in the process. I cannot so easily dismiss their role and actions/inaction. In a failing corporation it's the CEO who gets booted with the golden parachute and the production line workers who get laid off. More often than not it is the front line supervisors (Congress) and department managers (Senate) who have failed. Unless the new CEO (president) can clean house the situation continues to deteriorate. This is where America is and until radical and substantive change happens in Congress we are on a collision course with a complete meltdown. Next man or woman up will be just as likely to make poor decisions as a result of bad middle management. Congress was, is and will continue to be the root cause of our problems. I do like the Sam Covid Houston thing though. Nice.

As I said before, what is the main headline on Huffpost?

The dirty drawers always make it to the top of the laundry basket in left wing media. They do wait longer, less reactionary but it will happen. Not so much on Fox.
