No. They can't even entertain the idea of not raiding social security. To do so would throw this country into a depression overnight. We would be instantly bankrupt.
I'm just pointing out that it was the criminals in congress that got us here, so thinking that these very same criminals will now solve this problem is unlikely. They'll keep finding a way to rob the working class until there is nothing left to take. This is why we're on a death sprial regardless of what they do. We can keep kicking the can down the road for another decade or two, but it doesn't end well. Eventually the entire nation will be taxed into poverty.
