Best-selling author and viral Tik-Tok star Sarah Cooper, known for her lip-sync impressions of President Donald Trump, has scored her first comedy special on Netflix.

Cooper posted her first video, “How to Medical,” on April 23, and it’s racked up more than 21 million views across several social media platforms. The video features Cooper’s classic lip-sync impersonation of the president, during which she mocks an infamous Trump briefing, during which he suggests UV light and disinfectant as a cure for the coronavirus.

New York Times reporter Dave Itzkoff shared the Netflix announcement on Twitter:

The special, Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine, will deal with “issues of politics, race, gender, class, and other light subjects,” according to Netflix’s statement, and will include a variety of interviews and sketches with special guests.

The specialis set to premiere this fall and will be directed by Russian Doll’s Natasha Lyonne and executive produced by Maya Rudolph, Danielle Renfrew Behrens, and Lyonne. Chris Burns of AGI Entertainment and Dan Powell of Irony Point will also serve as executive producers.

To her credit she had a growing career before the tik tok videos if you look at some you tube clips so good for her...all it takes is an opportunity. She hosted one of the late shows last night, was not bad.

Prescient.

It confirms well the Tony Schwartz got to understand Donny well through writing Art of the Steal for him etc. I remember listening to the full Oxford Union talk he gave which that is a snip, must find time to run through it again and see what else he was bang on about.

I read a lengthy article a while back either written by Schwartz or where he was interviewed about his ghostwriting for Trump. Schwartz said that Trump could not focus his attention for more than a minute, if that. It was a damning piece all around. The unspoken conclusion was that Trump is an idiot, and a potentially dangerous one at that.

And now, after four years, we're all experts on the matter. (Not that it was a well-kept secret beforehand.)

Always beware the one who just wants it more whatever it is. Pointy elbows out over anything at all. I have a cousin like that (dad's side, Ireland) and he got a company to sponsor him on a Melania 'genius' visa, by 26 he was a CEO in San Francisco. Well he is not stupid but not really smart however get between him and a muffin and you risk being unexpectantly trampled from behind.
