Never ever underestimate the Japanese militarily. There is a warrior culture in Japan that is unrivaled anywhere else in the world. The Japanese Emperor is a member of the longest lasting dynasty in the world and is the 125th descendant of Emperor Zimmu who founded the dynasty 2600 years ago. Their Shinto religion predates western history though many Japanese worship at both Shinto and Buddhist temples and very few Japanese believe in a divine God but rather view religion as a set of duties and traditions. Modern Japan appears quite civilized but beneath a thin veneer of westernized culture one finds feudalism. The warrior class no longer rules with the sword but wields power from the boardrooms of Japan's businesses.

China never had a warrior culture and never had much success in war. Without assistance from the US and Great Britain Japan would have entirely conquered China in WWII.

I've been around this forum long enough to recognize that the left will support whichever side of any issue that is perceived to be bad for the United States so it is entirely predictable that the leftists in P&R will favor China in any conflict between China and Japan.

I do have a point to my post and it is that I don't believe that China would ever seriously provoke Japan into military action. The aggression exhibited by China over the disputed islands in the north as well as their aggression towards the Philippine navy over some disputed waters in the south is just for domestic consumption by their somewhat nationalistic population. China isn't looking for real trouble.

There is no doubt that Japan can defend herself. And with regards to the comment about liberals, we favor the defender and not the aggressor, in this case, the defender appears to be Japan.

That is simply ludicrous. Averaging down can never work in the long term with many intraday trades being executed. In fx you must only risk perhaps 2% of total capital per trade and exit trades at that loss when they have moved against you so that you may reenter quickly. Averaging down ties up capital and you lose simply due to opportunity cost. A real trading strategy has winning and losing trades and is profitable due to tight risk control on the losing trades. Everyone in the business knows this.

You have this tendency to say things that reveal your total inexperience with the subject. You say these things with great certainty not realizing that what you are saying alerts those with actual experience that you are just posing.

Take firearms. You jumped into a discussion among guys who had military experience and immediately said things that were so completely wrong that everyone involved questioned whether you had ever even handled a firearm.

You have this misplaced belief that you are smart enough to bullshit people but instead they see your errata and begin to question your entire story. I've seen you repeat this pattern often enough to develop the opinion that you are pathological. I'm no mental health expert but I've read enough about it and you have supplied enough examples that fit for me to conclude to myself that you are unstable and live in a sort of fantasy world. You are a frightening person RCG and I'm amazed that you have not hurt someone at work with that unjustified certitude of yours. Scary.
