The Election Autopsy

The DNC is a disaster.

Drain the swamp!
Drain the swamp!
Drain the swamp!
Drain the swamp!
Drain the swamp!

Yes, I noted today how Trump is draining the swamp. So far his cabinet consists of Christie, Sessions, Gingrich and Giuliani. (Can I throw up now?)

Man, that's really bringing in new blood.

Trump is, always has been, and always will be, a bag of hot air.

We lost because democrats did not get out to vote, its as simple as that. There was no uprising of millions of angry white voters who haven't voted for years who just raised up and voted for Trump.Trump got fewer votes than Romney and McCain. 6-9 million democrats who voted in 2012 and 2008 stayed their asses home.

From my time volunteering the biggest reason given when talking to democrats who said they weren't voting was Obamacare,no more centrist wall street nominees and pissed off Bernie supporters.

By far the biggest reason for staying home was Obamacare. One women told me she would have stood in line for 12 hours to defend single payer or a medicaid for all option but she wasn't standing in line for 1 minute to defend a 800.00 a month premium and a 6000.00 deductible.Another women said let Trump and the republicans dismantle obamacare and she will vote for another Bernie type candidate who promises to fight for single payer or public option and nothing less. Another women asked me did Hillary promise to fight for the public option/single payer or address the high deductibles that prevents most people from even using their health insurance and I told her I couldn't recall, she said she couldn't either and thats why she wasn't voting for her.A lot of people didn't like Hillarys ties to wall street and a lot were pissed off at Obama for being too centrist and they think Hillary is too.Nearly every democrat I talked to who said they weren't voting said they would have voted for Sanders.

On the bright side for democrats although fucked by the electoral college, again, more people voted for Hillary than Trump. There wasn't millions of angry white voters who came out of the shadows and voted for trump,Trump got the same voters that voted for Romney and McCain, only fewer than both of them.Democrats got within 8 points in Texas and democrats have won the popular vote in 6 of the last 7 presidential elections. We'll hold our heads down for this pathetic turn out ,regroup and be back in 2020:fistbump:

I agree with all of this. I still have not seen the young voter numbers.

It doesn't matter. Chose donkeys for staff. People haven't gotten it yet, but they will soon when the next depression hits this country. And it is as inevitable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. Oops, let me be more accurate, a Global Depression.

People want Kings, Jesus Kings, Clinton Kings, Trump Kings. Not one of them can change powers so great that even Washington is helpless against it: The Corporation, and by extension, corporate profits and the way it is structured to benefit the few. Corporations are so powerful, that get this, they were able to pass that "money is free speech". o_O So is the fart that comes out of their ass. What's the sound of one hand clapping?

The Republicans and the current corporate Democrats are holding the keys to all the doors. They own CNN and FOX to be sure, and since peoples opinions are based on the reality TV shows and the MSM, the establishment have them in a anaconda bind that is intellectually inescapable.

Trump studied Bernie extremely carefully, and as a result changed his message to include the working poor [I forget if that was Kelly-Ann Conway's doing]. He came in through the back door. It is going to be one amazing magic trick watching how he is going to help those people, lower taxes for the rich and lower the corporate tax rate, not touch the third rail entitlements and programs like SS, balance with the establishment republicans in particular not adding to the deficit, repeal Affordable Care Act, and raise IRs. God knows what other constraints there are. May Dios help Trump because someone is going to be massively pissed.

Instead, Clinton thought, hey I will just hire Bernie and I can hide behind his message that I can change their lives. Meanwhile she could keep Goldman Sachs and those that do "God's Work" tit feeding her. You know, the ones that payed her hundreds of thousands of dollars per speech that I think anyone with a high school education can write.

But there was one incident that I am recalling now as my massive headache is clearing that was probably the coffin in the nail for Clinton - when she was chosing a VP - and it came out that regardless of how she felt, she was told by the people that had her by a leash that Elizabeth Warren "was out of the question". To add injury to insult, Obama called Bernie to the WH for a private meeting. That was when the millennials knew that they were just appendages in a Clinton white house.

She paid for it dearly, and so are we.

The first thing Trump should do is trick countries to lend us for 100 years, or even 500 years. Introduce bonds with those terms :sneaky: But wait, there is more, for a very very good price, we will introduce the 1000 year bond. Just for you. But if you order right now, we will include this set of fine knives with your eternity bond:

Just call 1-800-FUCK-YOU

Again, that is

1-800-FUCK-YOU

Why not, the poor idiots buy everything else!

The economy will take off like a rocket, GDP up to 3%. Wages will rise everyone will be happy, especially the wealthy! Deficits will soar, and the next President will have to deal with the inflation. Trumps slogan was borrowed from Reagan and very likely his economics will be also. four years, at least, of extreme, supply-side, trickle down economics are likely on the way. Only a few will realize that they are borrowing for the good life and will have to pay it back via inflation later. But hey, some of us will be dead later! "laissez les bon temps rouler"

I think there is some truth to this. One difference is republicans control both houses of congress, a luxury Reagan did not have. If they have the will, they can curtail spending. Trump will also save a lot of money we have been pissing away in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Thanks for the answer .
I would have been happy to vote for Webb in the election just over had he both run for president and had a chance of being elected. Most of the people calling themselves 'libertarians' today have political philosophies very different from what libertarians have traditionally stood for. Chomsky calls them 'anarcho-capitalists' and I think that's a pretty apt description.
