The Election Autopsy

I don't look outward and blame others (republicans). I get the biggest mirror I can find and start self-flagellation.

It is the only way to enlightenment.

I only saw there a cartoon of a caricatured frog.

I do not know, in your country "cultural history", how caricatures of a frog might have been
used to make other people feel uncomfortable, so feel free to educate us.
Also, what is the Anti-Defamation league: is it a club?
In some countries, there exist anti-defamtion laws, and that is normal; but never heard
of anti-defamation league

I appreciate your interest in our country but may I suggest you use google and read up on these subjects yourself?

Looks like the Democrats will need to do their "confessions" as well as mea culpa.
This is not an easy thing to do obviously: looking deep into one's faults, as well as one deep weaknesses.
Already the Democrats can check some like:
- the ways they treated Bernie sanders, its supporters.
- if they understood what Bernie was really standing for, and what his supporters were looking for.
I quickly checked some of his statements and this is what I kept " some people in America work two jobs full time and can't pay their basic bills". I assumed your "working poor" phenomena created under Bush had been sorted, instead it was hidden.
- how democrats lacked humility toward voters
Actually, for the religious democrats, I am sure a series of 5 days St Ignacius retreat examining the elections will reveal to them what they did to not ensure a win. And this will be beneficial on long term for the Democratic party.

That, and too, how many are hurting after 30 years of declining, inflation adjusted wages. What Trump taught me was that telling people what they want to hear will be perceived as truth, regardless of facts. Trump is a master of at first perceiving what people want to hear, and than parroting it back to them. I learned what a powerful, and manipulative, political tool this can be. I am rather in awe of his skill in this regard.
Don't be, he has the conscience of the veteran salesman, i.e. none. He is utterly unflapped by saying X, and then denying he said X, hundreds of times. Ordinary people can't do that, something hurts inside... it's called a conscience. Perhaps one could say that in that sense he is the ultimate political insider.

The implication of your argument is that there must be contradictory promises among all he made and that simply cannot be kept. But, he never went back on giving California farmers the water they need, so that will be good.
:D

It'll be interesting to see those on the Left now spending the next 4 years attacking a President Trump for mainly the same qualities that Obama exhibited, should Trump follow similar steps of incompetence or impotence. The difference is that should Trump do so, those on the right will quickly call him out for it as well.

The left criticize what they don't like, while the right tends to criticize what they perceive to be inherently wrong. That is an important difference.

It seems you are right. Poor democrat turnout produced the Clinton loss. My comments are in regard to the dynamics that produced the poor turnout, i.e., the successful vilification of Clinton, and the dynamics that were in play among Trump and Hillary voters that did turn out.

Your own party's fault. Had you given Bernie a chance, I'll bet he'd have beaten Trump.

I seriously hope that the Democrats won't go this path of just criticizing, but look inward and improve themselves, so as to be the first choice for whatever next elections come. If Trump won with 25% of the registred voters, the fault is not Trump, but the Democrats themselves.

Clinton concession speech imminent. I sincerely hope she apologizes to all Democtrats for the DNC. But she won't.

Like reps did these past eight years?
