Further, how does one count the pollution that must be cleaned from the oceans while natural resources are extracted? Policy discussions must ensue at an international level.
 
Are you saying that nano-technology could only be used to extract natural resources and not for cleansing the environment?

I would argue that nano-technology, robots or technology advances in general could be used to help our efforts in eco-responsibility to go along with capitalistic advances.

I agree. Perhaps if a company is harvesting gold, they (by law) would have to clean herbicides in the same weight or count?
 
I still don't understand why we don't tap the Green River Shale oil reserve which is worth $194,000 per citizen or $60 trillion. America is rich with resources yet the dems n reps can't or won't manage our resources correctly.
