In news that actually matters, young men, prepare to get hosed. Nice and quiet like they did this. Why? Well, we all know the answer, now don't we?

On June 14, 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 8070, the National Defense Authorization Act for 2025. A version of the bill gets passed every year, because every year, the U.S. military needs a budget, and Congress has to write the check.

But in this proposed version of the bill, one particular item stood out to a lot of people online: The bill would automatically register all males between the ages of 18 and 26 in the Selective Service System — or, in more common terms, the draft.

So what? Most states register men for selective service when they get a driver's license, right?

I think what's changed here is that women are now also registered. Which is good. They want to continue to vote in these politicians, so let them get their equality by picking up a rifle if there's a war. Win win.

So who are the 18-26 year olds going to vote for?
Biden already lost 30% of the black male vote, 50 years old and younger.
Latins see reckless immigration as a personal financial threat.
Trump (draft dodger) is the last person to start a forever war.
Trump just wants to make the gravy train bigger and better than ever before.

All well and good, but meaningless. This didn't come from Trump, it came out of congress. Trump isn't in charge of shit at the moment. These distractions are how those motherfuckers in congress pass this shit without any real debate.Trump ain't the problem. Even that senile old fool Biden isn't the problem. Congress is the problem. They are the greatest threat to our country. There is no close second.

Well, it's topical, anyway. And if Trump gets elected, then also ironic. Especially since it's the Republicans who want to bring it back and it's Republicans who are waiting their turn to kiss Trump's ass.

So who are the 18-26 year olds going to vote for?...

A majority of 18 - 26 year olds are already registered for "selective service" to get a driver's license, student loan, government job, security job et cetera.

This has been going on for many years and most now register for it without a second thought.

More importantly, registering for the "selective service" will not impact which candidate to vote for considering there are more important issues that young adults (men and women) are concerned about such as protesting on college campuses about the Israel/Hamas War if it's continuing when students return to college in the fall semester (August - September).

The MAGA part of the GOP has a plan to deport/cancel student visas of any foreign student disrupting life at college...in their protest. Situations like this will be more important to young adults than registering for selective service that's been in place for many years without anyone caring about it.

Yet, I'm not naive about the recent change in the geopolitical environment about the Ukraine/Russia War and the Israel/Hamas War. I flew to the States last year and most young adults I talked to were more afraid of Trump as President than Biden as President if chaos escalates further on the geopolitical stage from any of those two Wars because they mentioned a common theme...

More U.S. military leaders and Allied military leaders distrust Trump than Biden. ​

Talking to a few students at Univ. of Kentucky, Univ. of Chicago, Univ. of Northwestern, Univ. of Illinois, Cornell...I was surprised by how many students understood the implication of War spreading to nearby countries, immigration/migration problems...beyond the United States.
