part of the reason people are voting for trump is that those who are "qualified" are the traitors who sell us out. The people don't want politicians. Just about anyone is preferable to a democrat or republican politician. I would vote for Oprah or Dr. Phil, if they said they would put the needs or the tax payers and the jobless first and not work with the establishment before I voted for Rubio or Jeb or Hillary or based on what he had done lately...Romney.

Generally the establishment works overtime to undermine outsiders who manage to elected. Typically they dredge up some sort of minor corruption claims that would be brushed off for an establishment pol and try to blow them up. They did it with Nixon, who was not an outsider but was very much an outsider to the Washington democrat/media political world. They tried to do it with Reagan. They have done it to several governors. Trump will have to be very careful because, unlike Bill Clinton, the republicans won't protect him but instead will be the first to backstab him if he gets elected.
