Russian GDP growth accelerates to 7.7% in Feb, reaches 6% in Jan-Feb



MOSCOW. April 4 (Interfax) - Russian GDP growth accelerated to 7.7% year-on-year in February from 4.6% in January, the Economic Development Ministry estimated in its report on the current economic situation, which was published on Wednesday.

Russia's GDP grew by 6.0% in the first two months of 2024, the ministry estimated.

BTW -- the UN does not collect economic statistics beyond the annual SNA survey for the UN Statistics Division (UNSD); the IMF and World Bank do collect economic data. Putin does not use UN stats for his claims because UNSD stats do not include in-depth purchasing power parity data beyond the ratio calculator sourced from the World Bank & IMF.
