EVERYONE disagrees with me. Aw the heck with all of them. They are all extremists on one side or the other.When you think that everyone who disagrees with you is at the opposite extreme. Someone in the center would not think that everyone else was on only one side of the boat. For example, if your were on the extreme Right, you would regard anyone disagreeing with you as being leftist. The center wouldn't really exist for you.

The leftists at the top hope to jump-start a fairer society in terms of ethnic equality, etc. by creating the illusion that we're already there. Which ironically means they have to foster social disapproval of contrarians who would point out that we're not there.
The "left" knows that there is disparity rather than equality in the treatment of different ethnic groups. The Right is less convinced of a disparity, and to the extent that the extreme Right agrees there is disparity, their view is that the various ethnic groups have it better because of special treatment.Elaborate
