Fascinating that Trump is the only candidate today who put forth a concrete proposal to defend US LGBT's from violence. Stopping the influx of immigrants whose religious tenets feature the killing of gays and Christians is quite concrete and a great place to start. Banning firearms when about 500M are already in circulation sounds great to libs but is just stroking the bishop - no practical consequence.
Many Christians are "not fond" of gays either, but we do have social norms (evolving) and laws in place to mitigate their behavior. And we have the example of millions of Muslims already living here who evidently are also keeping their behavior in bounds. A ban on all Muslims entering the country is just WWII and the Japanese Americans all over again.
