Look man, I'm really getting tired of debating you because I go through all the trouble to make points and post links and you seem to just avoid the issue and attack my words. I really don't know what else to say here man. But let me ask you this. I get really pissed off when people say there is no difference betwen the right and the left or I vote for the man and not the party, or I look for people with good leadership skills. That is pure 100% grade A down on the farm horseshit. And you've got plenty in stock apparently.

Let me ask you something. Are you watching the democratic debates right now? Do you realize that every single one of them, yes, every single one of them is proposing some kind of socialized healthcare system. Are you aware of this? How can you possibly tell me if you are at all, and I mean even 2% conservative, how can you possibly think of voting for this? See that is why I said I would never vote for a democrat and I don't know ANY republicans that would vote for a democrat.

How in the f*ck can anyone that calls himself a conservative or even moderate republican vote for a 400 to 800 billion dollars a year universal healthcare system? Can you walk me through this RS and explain your logic here. Because if one of these pansies get elected you are going to see the biggest healthcare debacle in this nations history and probably the biggest fraud perpetrated on the public since the savings and loan scandal.

This is why I and no one on the right that I know of would ever make the statement, well I vote on the issue or it depends on the person. No RS, you are a democrat, like I said I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you are not a flaming liberal but you know what, I don't care if you are anyway. It's all the same, you vote and put a guy like Kerry in as President and you are going to see tax hikes,a health care meltdown, and billion and billions of more wasted dollars on our public education system. Why don't you get this? Republicans want independency, not dependency. I want the government out of my life, out of my schools, out of my hospitals, out of my trading account. I want them out! You want them in. You want them to run the show.

And that's fine if you believe that, at least have the nutsack to step and say it. Stop trying to caution your words. If you're a liberal stand up and say it, be proud. You say I am avoiding the issues and just attacking your words. I am not sure what issues you want me to address. All this really started with my being stunned with your statement that "all Dems and liberals really really hate rich people". So I said I couldn't swallow that, and you responded with an explanation I could not understand.

Plus, you made an issue of Jews all voting for Democrats, which is also not true (even according to you). You mix the issues to a point that I really just can't follow the logic. So yeah, it' s virtually impossible for me to address the issues since I really can't be sure what issue you want addressed, and even what your point is. Like the thing about doctors and lawyers doing what is good for society. What was the point? Am I supposed to agree? Disagree? What do you want to hear? Give me a real issue you want to debate, and that's fine. But how can I debate an "issue" when I am not clear on what it is you believe? Were you agree and where you disagree with me. Your "arguments" are often all over the place, and I am just confused. Must mostly be because I am not that smart. But some of it really is confusing.

Surely you need to know that I can't take everything you say literally. Or am I wrong? I mean according to what you said, you know and are friendly with a LOT of Jews. But every one of them is a doctor or a lawyer. So what am I to think? Do you REALLY know a lot of Jews? Are you really friends with a lot of Jews? And if you are, every single on is a doctor or a lawyer? C'mon Mav....if you want to discuss an issue, let's have a reasonable discussion. You cannot possibly expect me or anyone to so readily accept something like that. But like I said, anything is possible. But so is winning the lottery. Having a lot of Jewish friends is possible. Knowing a lot of Jewish people is very possible. But believing that every one of them is a doctor or a lawyer is somewhat difficult to believe. I am not saying you are a liar (though you said I was). I am just saying it is kind of hard to believe.

You post links and then say that they prove your points. I admit to not even looking at the links. What would be the purpose? You and I both (anyone at all) can find sources to support any side of any argument. So why should I read the links? It is obvious what they are going to say. You wouldn't post anything that was not in complete agreement with your thinking.

No. I am not. I had better (more important) things to do. I can read about it in the papers. Yes, I prefer newspapers to TV for keeping up with the news. I know GWB doesn't believe in reading newspapers, but hey, we are all different. Or should be. But that's my opinion. Apparently YOU believe we should all be the same. Or if we are different, then we are wrong. And we piss you off.

When there is a CANDIDATE I will be sure and make a point of watching the debates. Right now, I cannot vote anyway. It is not a crucial matter to me right at this moment. And there is nothing I can do about it now even if my blood was boiling like yours is.

As to the healthcare issue....I am not up to date on who is saying what. But I will try and educate myself on the subject before I cast my vote. Is that reasonable?

Also, even though I am not familiar with the different health plans now, I do know that there is a very large problem with the way the medical industry is run now. The way insurance companies are run is disgraceful.

My first wife was a teacher (yes, a Jewish teacher...amazing to you, but in truth, I was surprised that you thought they were rare)....but I digress. Anyway, she was working for the State of Nevada. Then she switched to the Clark County (Las Vegas) school district. There was a rule. For a period of (I think 6 months, but maybe it was a year), she had to be on an HMO before she could switch to the PPO plan. What she had to suffer because of the system was horrible. It was all about dollars. She was ill, her primary care physician through the HMO said she was ill. She was given a prescription to see a specialist. But the pencil pushers at the insurance company said that seeing a specialist was not medically necessary. (too expensive...she would have had to have gone to LA...there were no doctors in Las Vegas that could treat her). This was in contrast to THEIR OWN DOCTOR'S OPINION. But it saved money. So for four or five months, she had to suffer the symptoms of Menieres Syndrome. Imagine feeling sea sick for that long so the insurance company could save some money. Do you see a problem at all with this?

Also, it is entirely possible (I will never know for sure) that if she had seen a doctor that much sooner, they may have discovered her cancer in time to have treated it. The Menieres and the cancer were unrelated, but still, if the insurance company had been more concerned with providing health care instead of finding ways to PREVENT SPENDING MONEY ON HEALTH CARE it could have saved her life. Unfortunately, there is no way to ever know.

I'll tell you something. I am proud of what I have accomplished in life. What I have done for my family. So that is what is important to me. If ANY of my family were to say something like "gee dad, you aren't sure of how you feel about issue "x", so now we can't respect you any more. You may have gotten us all new cars when we were teenagers (BTW, a mistake I admit to Mav...I have made a LOT of mistakes!), sent us to summer camps, trips to Israel, the March of the Living trips, taken us on vacations, bought a nice house for us to live in and gave us love and support. Did stuff like picking us up in the middle of the night on New Years Eve when we were too young to drive and sacrificed you own good times. You got us tutors if we needed them. You paid for college for us, your stepchildren, and we aren't even related by blood. You were always kind and caring. But now you can't make up your mind on the current healthcare issue, so we aren't proud of you any more. We are ashamed to be your child/stepchild/wife."

Yeah, I would be pretty bummed if that happened. But somehow I don't see that scenario unfolding.

I could be wrong though. You really never know until it's crunch time. Right Mav?

By the way, Maverick, I strongly suggest you yourself look into the "March of the Living" trip. It could really have a significant effect on you. If you are interested, let me know. I think there are ways for you to go that would make the expense pretty negligable. I have not done it myself. I am the only one in my family that hasn't gone. I would like to. Maybe you and I could go together. Google it up and tell me if you are interested. My kids were all very moved by it. And changed by it. I am sure you would be too. Same for me.

That would be the polite thing to do. Pabst started this thread to express his point of view about a political issue. You should respect Pabst and limit your posts on this thead to that issue.

If you don't find Pabst's issue of interest, or whatever the issue evolved to be about, then you may start your own thread about me, (or anything else of interest to you ....if there is anything else of interest to you)....and that will give you a forum to say whatever you wish about whatever topic you choose.

As all threads do, they tend to go off on tangents. So there are plenty of ways for you to take a thread off topic. Happens all the time. But hijacking a thread to make it about your dislike of me...well that is sort of in bad form. For this, you really should start a whole new thread.

Or, on the other hand, if they don't, that could only mean you are not communicating clearly enough. Do you think this is a possibility? Or is it that you are so insecure that you are concerned that you are not getting your message across. If that is the case, then please, let me assure you that you have expressed yourself very eloquently.
