The Decline of the Obama Presidency

Quote from wjk:

After giving this some serious thought (for about ten seconds or so), I've concluded that there may actually be some things AK believes Obama did wrong (not sure what they are at this moment). My guess is that they would be whatever we thought he did right, ideologically speaking of course.

Hmmm, I may have just reached agreement with Ricter's earlier post, sort of.

This is why whenever I see one of those on the left telling me how wrong I am and how crazy, or a kook or whatever I am, that I am even more so convinced I am on the correct path. I figure that if they think it's wrong, and given how off they tend to be, I've got a good chance at being sane.

I can't ask him either, because he put me on ignore a long time ago.
:D
Rectum who uses his ignore liberally wants you to ask someone a question that also uses his ignore liberally?

Didn't you vote for O in the first election? I would think that gives you a lot of room to not agree with anything O man has done. Certainly he didn't do what he promised in your mind, or he would have gotten your vote twice.

I've voted against him at least twice and I'll vote against him when he runs for president again.

I would vote for him if he ran for dog catcher but there is a risk he may EAT the dogs he catches. So, no vote for dog catcher either.

Precisely. This is a point our little group of liberals here forget. They would much prefer to label me kook, or crank, or winger/AOWM...whatever.

Quote from AK Forty Seven:

Not only is Reagan mostly responsible for the 47 % paying no taxes,he's also largely responsible for the large number of Hispanic voters who helped elect Obama and keeps his approval ratings from dropping as low as Bush's,Clinton's,HW Bushes,Reagan's etc

GOP Rep. Steve King: Obama elected because of Ronald Reagan's immigration reforms

(CBS NEWS) -- President Obama sits in the White House today because President Reagan brought so many Hispanic voters into the nation's fold with the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act, Rep. Steven King, R-Iowa, postulated on the House floor Thursday.

King, one of the House's staunchest opponents to a comprehensive immigration reform bill, reached that conclusion by connecting two disparate facts: that 71 percent of Hispanic voters in the 2012 election voted for Mr. Obama, and that an estimated 3 million undocumented immigrants were granted legal status through the 1986 law.

"It's clear to anybody that can do any kind of statistical analysis that Barack Obama wouldn't be president of the United States without Ronald Reagan's 1986 amnesty act," he said.

I see his points;
but probably simple minded [uneducated college] kids did more to elect Pres Barack.Mr Romney really did not seem to be much of a runner.....

Cant blame Bush for this; he got plenty of Hispanic votes,LOL:D

I find it pretty remarkable that you have become the lightning rod for all their vitriol. Outside of the few times when Ricter does his "Pee Wee Herman" routine and starts openly antagonizing you, I've never seen you lose your cool with all of their antics.

Just about every debate that you've started was done so in good faith with open ended questions that could/would foster some meaningful back and forth if this board (and country) weren't so hopelessly polarized....

Still, I agree with what you said. Whenever I see the usual suspects start tossing out their pithy and dismissive comments, I know that they're completely off their rockers per usual. I also get a good laugh whenever they throw zerohedge under the bus...as if every single article on there is some make believe tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy beamed down from outer space.

That sums it all up perfectly, doesn't it.

It's pure comedy with these ignore lists. Lucrum and I have been on Ricter's since just after the election. Meanwhile, neither I nor Lucrum are on AK47's (and we both give him alot of shit...and deservedly so).

I appreciate your comments, Denner. Thanks.
