The death of Microsoft

Nice comeback - you think after 475 posts in 3 months, you would be a little more witty...

Anyway, I am tired of bickering with the mentally retarded - so, prt_systems I want to bury the hatchet. I got you a gift - a peace offering if you will...I just need to know your shirt size.

LOL

As you so eloquently say in a lot of your 475 posts...

more monkey-like comments
go get a banana
still waiting (for your shirt size)

OK - I didn't study retarded, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. So, I think I can decipher this. You are saying your shirt size is large.

Thanks.

Office is probably MS's biggest money spinner.
Who knows what will happen, but they must be potentially vulnerable.

Why guessing?
Here are the numbers from last Q1:

Client (Windows etc) $2,576
Server and Tools $896
Information Worker (Office etc) $1,934
Microsoft Business Solutions ($12)
MSN $83
Mobile and Embedded Devices ($2)
Home and Entertainment (Xbox etc) ($141)
Other ($1,288)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total operating income $4,046

Of course this is in millions

I wish y'all would let PRT and his buddies short MSFT and sell calls and buy puts to their heart's content. Dunno why you need to rain on somebodies powerball ticket. ;)

Sorry, but have a look a the numbers, and you will perhaps understand better : M$ is UNABLE for the moment to make money out of its traditional business (look at the mobile devices, and xbox products, and ask yourself how much MSN costs and how much it brings....)

Or we could lett TGregg and all his buddies waste their time with comments like this that are appropriate for the YAHOO message boards.

LOL

Getting back to the topic ....

Did anyone see the $soft announcement about their idea of application hosting - That is the the client -$softoffice - interacts with their servers.

How many times have we seen this warmed over idea - since about 1998 ?

BG looked almost desperate during the announcement. This was one of the weakest public technology announcement s by $soft that I have seen since I have been working with them - since about 1990.

I just see more moves by them that look desperate rather than strong ...
