Fab's was great but the owner sold out..excellent pizza..place is being remodeled...
I actually like Hoagies and Wings' hoagies and wings. THey are overpriced, but pretty decent, though it's hard to find good wings on the west coast..
Sushi Mac is decent..
La Frite fucking sucks so bad and it's the poorest excuse for French food in this city...
Hungarian place? None in Sherman oaks...I would have been there...are you talking about Hortobagy in Studio City? That place closed down...

LOL
I used live at that news stand across from Fabs and next to the Greek/Israeli place (and the poor dude died of a heart attack I think they still have his picture up there) ....I hope the remodel goes well. And that Pizza Slice place on the corner is fairly decent....which has been every thing from a Jazz club to an Italian rest
I'm surprised that you don't like La Frite I've always liked that place....except they did blow chunks on a Croque Madame the last time I was there for brunch How about Marmalade?
Edit: Hagpop? I think or something like that....I forget. I'm pissed that the Hot Dog stand next to Valley Liquors closed

housing hasn't bottomed imo, I sell real estate. There are buyers but many are sitting on the fence while this incredible inventory of homes builds up. There is a lot on the market, but alot of it is total junk. It just weighs everything down, just a normal market cycle. It's pretty fucked up though, it will get better I think end of 2009 we will see a rebound. Prices are still too high, sellers are absolutely fucking not living in reality where I am. I have been writing lots of decent offers lately and these morons will reject or counter back unreasonably. There is still quite a ways to go.
