The Darkest Storm is About to Descend - You Can't Imagine the Carnage

Quote from polpolik:

I know this much - S2007, Buylow, and Mr. Dodge do not trade for a living. Because if you guys trade for a living, my heart breaks for your family and your bank account.

Don't quit your day jobs. EVER.

No, I don't 'trade' for a living.

I do invest money in equity markets, and I've done quite well at that.

So, anyone who is bearish must be a failed trader, in your esteemed opinion?

You don't know me, and I don't know you.

One critical difference between you and I is that I don't presume anything about you.

I'll let others come to their own conclusions about why that is.

what does trading have to do with this? I doubt any of us are stupid enough to try to trade macroeconomic theories. and i doubt you do either.

They paid for the tab.

I'm just telling you that I've never heard more depressing, yet credible information. I know these guys. They're competent, and they have their fingers on the pulse, everyday.

They're making a ton of money, but making a ton of money isn't so great when you have to work weekends every week.

Someone mentioned non-conforming loans as a %. Fair point. Let me just say it's rising dramatically, and that many commercial loans are resetting at higher interest rates. I'm talking large loans.

ByLoSellHi, you full of it. Can't you just do everyone a favor and leave ET for good? You'll be doing the world a lot of good. Your posts are pathetic and usually wrong. What is wrong with you?

Question for Sell Hi Buy Lo

Where so you think the SnP will be when the rest of the world figure out the emperor hasn't got any clothes on?

Cheers

Quote from rros:

You know nothing about China's economy and trade.

I have spent considerable time in China and done import/export, how about you? I know a great deal about China. What do YOU purport to know?

If you had really studied the era of the great depression you would have known that it was in the 30's when comms (ags and metals) plummeted

Commodities plummeted during most of the Depression, which happened during the 30s. Why are you saying stupid, obvious things?.

because of a serious recession globally

No, REALLY? Is that what happened during the Great Depression - there was a serious recession globally? Really? DUHHHHH

and noone was importing FROM the US.

No one imported from ANYONE, dumb bunny. Most countries passed legislation trying to protect their economy against imports.

Up until Ap/May 1930 things were still holding up reasonably well and the Dow was down 12% from peak. Then, the realization came.

This is an empty statement, and I am thoroughly aware of how things transpired. Why do you think I brought it up, dumb bunny?

The present global situation is nothing like what it was in the 30's although there are some similarities with that period (like how the government is responding).

is NOTHING like it was in the 30s though there are SOME SIMILARITIES with the period? How stupid a statement is this?

Thanks for showing that you are clueless and can be dismissed

On to ignore, for this brainless dweeb

This must be the sequel to the book "Greatest stock market rally since 1998", released in May 2008 by the same author.

Good fade though.

This thread is short term bearish as a contrary indicator because the same people who thought we were going to 1100 several months ago- now think we will be staging a huge rally (after we've already rallied 10-15% off the bottom of course)
