No matter what you will do, this Covid thing will have a negative impact on ET.

I see a lot of anger, hostility and aggression between ET members. There will be quite a lot of members who will review their opinion about others in a negative way. And some will probably leave.

It is clear that Covid will not attract new people to ET, rather the opposite.
First the "war" about the elections, and now the Covid "war".

The only thing you could do is remove the extreme posters. The IGNORE function is not working as most people want to defend their opinion against the opponents, so they will never use the IGNORE function.

I wonder if other trading websites have the same problem.

Fake news spread by "experts" will finally destroy the internet as you cannot trust anything that is posted anymore.

That's not the problem.

The problem is that (too) many people DO trust the bullshit that's posted on questionable sites, or via questionable sources.

Too many people marry a position due to pride.
Too many people are loyal to individuals/groups, rather than concepts (The Constitution, etc.).

I've said it for years, the problem is the educational system.

We spent an entire portion of a thread yesterday going over vaccinated versus unvaccinated data from Israel. — citing the government website with the data. Go read the thread. The nonsense you posted is obviously fake. It is easy to go to the country’s health ministry websites to get proper data - why don’t you do this instead of continually posting fake nonsense from questionable anti-vaccine sources.

People have the right to their opinion but not the ones that violates the forum terms of use policy.

Yet, the policy is flawed because I've seen many people banned for issues not discussed in the TOU and I've seen people censored for issues not discussed in the TOU. That then implies there's personal conflicts that Baron has with certain members in which he'll tolerate them for months or maybe even years before something happens (like a light switch turned on) to put them on Baron's radar.
  • The strange aspect, maybe not notice by others, I've notice some messages have been deleted from this thread as in censoring.
It's a very careful type of censoring like some Ninja in a dark room. Thus, some funky stuff going on behind the scene and I'm willing to bet that individuals posting in this thread do not know such. :(

Simply, people shouldn't fool themselves into thinking that they can post whatever they want here in the Political threads even messages that do not violate the TOU policy...especially in a thread started by another ET sponsor (Ninja Mobil Trader VPS) in the Economics section that's then later moved into the Political section.

I wonder if the sponsor (Ninja Mobil) can have his name removed from the thread considering it seems like Baron is just going to allow it to deteriorate further down the toilet without closing it ???

Time for a proper burial at sea instead of this joke of a thread.
