The contradiction at the heart of the "GOP"

What the mainstream knows about Christ is the result of a kind of theological social darwinism. It has evolved and is currently framed by the loudest voices and other strange physical adaptations that have nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus about Christ. So much so that even the etymology of the term *Christ* is shrouded in the fog of ideological war.

And you, Nitro, are part of the mainstream heavily influenced by Catholic/Jesuit efforts to evolve some sensible approach to governance heavy on concepts about social justice...and have become a warrior on that front. It's seed bed of ideas germinates in the soil of false assumptions about Christ...and the evolution of those assumptions.

The bible instructs Christians to give to charity and to the poor. Which is exactly what studies show they do in practice.

How this is interpreted by the left to mean that the wealth of a country's citizens belong to the state to confiscate and do with as it pleases is a great mystery.

Religion and politics are intermingled. It was widely accepted that the duty of the church was to provide aid to the poor. Gradually the government started taking over that job.

I will refute it very quickly.

1. When Jesus said render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar and render unto God what is Gods...
What percent of what you had do you think Jesus thought was from God?

2. Did the Politicians in Rome not take money from some and distribute to others?
Yet taxes brought down the Roman state.

3. "By the 4th century, the Roman economy and tax structure were so dismal that many farmers abandoned their lands in order to receive public entitlements.

At this point, the imperial government was spending the majority of the funds it collected on either the military or public entitlements. For a time, according to historian Joseph Tainter, “those who lived off the treasury were more numerous than those paying into it.”

Sound familiar?

In the 5th century, tax riots and all-out rebellion were commonplace in the countryside among the few farmers who remained. The Roman government routinely had to dispatch its legions to stamp out peasant tax revolts.

But this did not stop their taxes from rising.

.... more from that article...

Zosimus, a late 5th century writer, quipped that “as a result of this exaction of taxes, city and countryside were full of laments and complaints, and all… sought the help of the barbarians.”

Many Roman peasants even fought alongside their invaders, as was the case when Balkan miners defected to the Visigoths en masse in 378. Others simply vacated the Empire altogether.

In his book Decadent Societies, historian Robert Adams wrote, “y the fifth century, men were ready to abandon civilization itself in order to escape the fearful load of taxes.”

Perhaps 1,000 years hence, future historians will be writing the same thing about us. It’s not so far-fetched.

In the economic decline of any civilization, political elites routinely call on a very limited playbook: more debt, more regulation, more restriction on freedoms, more debasement of the currency, more taxation, and more insidious enforcement.

Further, the propaganda machine goes into high gear, ensuring the peasant class is too deluded by patriotic fervor to notice they’re being plundered by the state.

I've no time to refute this ridiculous argument initiated by the OP

You can't have Laissez-Faire Capitalism which is really a sub category of Social Darwinism, and the teachings of Christ. They are in direct opposition and in contradiction to each other.

Now, the interesting questions is, how do people, in one brain, come to believe both simulatenously?

I don't follow? Please break it down for me.

Let me start by saying that the message of Jesus was predominantly about escape from hell, not how to make hell a long term viable option by tweaking it's various forms of governance. That message has been lost on early and loud theological evolutionaries who tell us that hell is some other place or some other time or some other condition than *here* and *now*...or what is vaguely called "the world".

By making threats about some other hell, theo-evos have sought to rule THIS hell with various configurations of carrot and stick...using propaganda about Christ. If they could, they would have Christ issuing edicts about sustainable governance in what is really a hell hole.

"Do unto others..." is not advice for setting up a permanent seat of governance upon the earth (in hell). Nor will Christ be coming back to set up a government, as if some governance of hell would actually work.

All advice from Jesus, generally speaking, is what everyone can do WHILE and for the purpose of ESCAPING hell. Nor do we have a complete catalogue of advice as the record has been corrupted by social darwinism. Thus, using the mainstream "record", you will never escape hell.

In the escape from hell (overcoming the world) there is general advice: Do unto others...forgive...

...but the most important advice will be a more and more direct hearing of a mind that is positioned to KNOW ALL. This is a lot like situational ethics where only a mind that knows all (one not plagued by the ignorance that damns all the minds of men) would actually know what to do and when to do it.

In the escape from hell we can turn left, we can turn right, we can go straight down the center...and/or sit down and be very still. Only a mind that knows all could guide each individualized mind out of the danger of its own ignorance...while doing "unto others" accordingly. At best, no one would be harmed in anyone's escape. That would require a miracle. Governments don't do miracles.

The Catholic church, so-to-speak, is one form of government among many, each vying for the loyalty of the masses. It is seen by its adherents as a permanent place-holder until Christ comes back and takes a seat either in Rome or in Jerusalem. No doubt they see themselves as the best government, and send out diplomats (including Jesuits) to advise other governments how to operate.

But the premise is flawed, and their goals do not align with the goals of Jesus, again, to escape hell. They don't believe in Jesus anymore than you. They use the name of Jesus to further the agenda of a more socialist version of governance...or some vague form of governance that works in their imaginations. So did you in this post (and probably others).

I could break it down further if I had to.
