What I think would best at this juncture of the shampeachment, is that a motion to dismiss be put forth and get this ridiculousness behind us so that idiot Dems can start the next shampeachment. Barring that, I think a quick up or down vote be made as soon as idiot Dem managers finish their case. ----just acquit and move on. Idiot Dems would actually appreciate this, even though they don't realize it yet, as it would allow them to get started publicly on the next hoax.

Yeh, the consensus now seems to be that there are swing state or vulnerable republicans that need to at least put on a little dance so that they can show the folks back home that they did not just dismiss it outright. Pelosi has really been creepy with her repeating over and over about how she damaged Trump by impeaching him even if they knew they could not get a removal. Really creepy. She sounds like some crooked prosecutor boasting about arrests he made just to bust people down and smear them even though he knew he could not get a conviction. Really creepy.

I believe that the establishment idiot Dems want to take Bernie down and let Biden win--or get the results such that they can use the super-delegates on second ballot to anoint someone--perhaps Hillary. I think though that Biden wins on first ballot regardless of meddling wth Bernie.

I've been very disappointed with the lack of deficit reduction and balanced budget under Trump. I think he should be taking a bigger lead on this and promoting this as part of his agenda. --At it's core, Congreff spends money and the president just administers it, but I would certainly like more leadership on this front. ---Make no mistake, Congreff is at fault, but they need to be whipped into shape.---I suspect that if the budget were balanced or spending were curbed in any way, we would see an initial stock market decline that would eventually recover although it might be decades. Perhaps this is why President Trump doesn't pursue this strongly, but I think it would be better to get started on this correction now before it gets any further out of hand.

I think though that Biden wins on first ballot regardless of meddling wth Bernie.

All the data and conventional wisdom supports that.

I don't see it though, and accept the probability of surprises being baked in.

But if Joe wins, he obviously wins and forces appear to be with him. I am just sayin I don't see it. Joe is the candidate that i want to see Trump run against though so I will be more than ready to start watching that unfold the minute he is nominated if it comes to that. Ditto, I guess for running against Bernie.

Let's not forget the spending endorsed by Trump as well. He is as much to blame as Congress for growing the deficit. $28 billion in 2 years of payments to farmers due to the trade war. He claimed to be amazing at balancing budgets and cutting spending but he is no different than every other politician...spend spend spend for your special interests while cutting taxes for your special interests = bigger deficit.

Trump is only guilty of not pushing an agenda item to balance the budget. He does not have the full power of the purse. These deficits are mostly the fault of Congreff. It works the other way as well--Just as the surplus under Clinton had nothing to do with him as well as deficit reduction under Obama was not caused by Obama.

please enlighten us how it is not Trump fault, when his idiotic tax cuts doubled the deficit during economic expansion.

Obama inherited trillion dollar deficits and halved it.
