It's great watching the committee hearing this morning. "Stolen Valor" Blumenthal introduced a motion to subpoena Mark Judge and Grassley read a letter from Mark Judge and the voting on the motion began as if Blumenthal wasn't even there. Then Grassley introduced a certain time to vote on the nomination to be 130 and Republicans began voting immediately over the ridiculous objections of Morlibon Democrats. Several Dems wouldn't vote on the motion including Cory Booker and Kamala Harris and Grassley just rolled right over that and the motion carried. I'm proud of Republicans today, including Jeff Flakey.

After agreeing to order an FBI investigation into the credible sexual abuse allegations brought against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump has reportedly restricted what the agency can look at.

Despite saying the FBI has “free reign,” Trump has set tight rules that appear to stop the investigators from pursuing promising leads.

According to a NBC News report, Trump won’t allow any investigation into the gang rape allegations brought forward by Julie Swetnick or even allow the FBI to obtain documents related to alleged accomplice Mark Judge’s brief tenure as a Safeway bag boy, which would help establish a timeline for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s account.

In the NBC News report, a Trump aide claimed “it’s not unusual for the White House to set the parameters of an FBI background check.”

However, former White House ethics czar Norm Eisen says that’s not true.

“I dealt with hundreds of these as [White House] Ethics Czar and it is malpractice for [White House] to rule out Swetnick, Yale boozing, Judge’s Safeway job, etc,” Eisen wrote on Twitter. “I call cover up.”

As you can see Shite Trader, the whole thing is circus with Democrats and Jeff Fake on one side and honest right minded individuals on the other. Norm Eisen is a Democrat operative. I expect nothing less from him. Meanwhile, The Trump administration rolls on.

On next month's SCOTUS docket is Gamble vs US. No 17-646. This is what the rush is about. At stakes is the "separate sovereigns exception to double jeopardy. If he (and the other 4 conservative judges) vote to overrule it, people given presidential pardons for federal crimes cannot be tried for that crime at the state level. Bam. Trump can pardon the lot of them and they have nothing to fear from state's attorneys."
