It should backfire on her later today when the transcript of the call comes out. I hate to see transcripts of calls come out as it might set a precedent for their future release of sensitive info, but I think since Trump is anxious to get it out there, that the content is benign.

As a related aside here:

Pompeo and the Intel directors did not want to have it released. But Bill Barr did.

I like that bigly, because it is a good sign that (unlike that drip Christopher Wray) that Barr is going to be very open and aggressive in releasing as much as he can related to the documents that trump recently declassified (and which he assigned to Barr to make release decisions).

I'm fairly certain at this point that there was not a "whistleblower" in this made up Ukraine issue. I believe I'll be proven correct in the fullness of time. I believe there was a disgruntled anti-Trump CIA operative who was more than happy to come forth with the first thing they could find that The Idiot Dem leadership felt that they could twist into something. I believe the person worked with Democrats to put together the complaint and then hide under whistleblower protection. ---As you may note----Pelosi went for the impeachment inquiry before the transcript or complaint was even out. It's a right dead certainty that Democrats had already read the complaint because they had helped author it. They already had their game plan in motion. --In some ways, this may be even worse than the failed earlier coup attempt.

One thing to remember about Adam Bullschiff------If the transcript of Trump's Ukraine call contained anything illegal or damning, he would have just read the transcript and would not have had to "parody" it at the beginning of his hearing.
 
What you have now is a situation where the Idiot Dems have to proceed with impeachment even though Mr Trump has not committed any crimes. They got out in front of their skis and now they can't retract. It's a lose lose for the Idiot Dems. On the one hand, there is no chance of conviction in The Senate. On the other hand, if they pull back, they admit that Mr Trump did nothing wrong. ----Thus Donald Trump is now "The Teflon Don". He will be reelected with ease.
