The Consequences of Income Inequality

Many people that spot an exemplary or expensive car on the road go out of their way to give a thumbs-up, honk, or just a casual wave of approval. Sadly, not everyone is as cordial. Or sane.

Renee Hughes of Hoover, Alabama, can attest to that. On Aug. 1, someone poured paint-stripping gel all over her brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, seriously damaging the car’s jet-black paint job.

From the photos it looks as though the perpetrator dumped the gel in the middle of the C7’s hood, as well as splashed the liquid all across the driver’s side of the vehicle. Potent stuff too – in some areas the paint has literally dripped off the car.

According to CorvetteBlogger.com, Renee plans to send the Corvette off to a repair shop to get fixed, though the remedy could take up to a month or more. Judging by the severity of the damage, it won’t be cheap either.
 
income equality can best be solved by eliminating income and death taxes on 99.5% of the country.

if you enjoy taking money from others then you can create a progressive tax on the assets and income of the top .05%. This is not my choice... but I put it out there because its generally the .05% who advocate for more taxes to fix the "problem" and we know you democrats and leftists want to tax your own crony donators.

typical socialist....... blame random acts of vandalism on income inequality.

"Oh...it not the fault of the vandals....... it's capitalism....we need to redistribute the wealth so those poor vandals can stay home and continue to exist on welfare. "

Again I pose the question:

Since history is littered with all the failures of socialism, why do they think it will be any different this time?
 
I'm tired of this discussion of capitalism and socialism; we live in the 21st century, we need an economic system that has democracy as its underpinnings and an ethical code.

Capitalism is against the things that we say we believe in - democracy, freedom of choice, fairness. It's not about any of those things now. It's about protecting the wealthy and legalizing greed
