The "climate change" industry is worth $1.5 trillion

don't those solar panels require some sort of mineral or rare earth? Where does that come from? Does it need to be mined? How are they mining it? Are they using solar power or fossil fuel to get the minerals or rare earth they need to produce solar panels? If we run out of oil will they still be able to produce solar panels?

Have you ever seen one of those windmills? Man, it takes a lot of oil to get one set up and running.

It is interesting to note that recent reports also indicate that most of the $1.5 Trillion spent on AGW is completely wasted. Ricter at one point in time made the argument that some of this $1.5 Trillion is green "cross-over" spending for items such as electric cars, solar panels, energy efficiency, etc. that would have occurred even if "climate change" was not an issue. He had a valid point - but sadly the numbers don't support his assertion.

A further break-down of the numbers show that most of $1.5 Trillion is spend solely on items to "fight" AGW - items such as carbon markets, CO2 smoke-stack scrubbers (which are worthless for solid particle pollution control), "climate-change" consulting, political lobbying and other purposes solely focused on AGW that have no cross-over value. Sadly a good portion of the wasted money is "political" and "government" associated - meaning that it is effectively coming out of the tax-payers pocket.

And we have the Global Warming profiteers like Al Gore and Elon Musk who rake in 100s of millions and then claim they are trying to help those in poverty. They are perhaps the biggest frauds of all.

Who the hell is Elon Musk?

Al Gore rocks.

Oh THAT Elon Musk! He's even cooler than Gore. I guess he another boogeyman for the moron right huh? That's why you know his name so well.

Those cars are amazing. 0-60 in three seconds.

Yeah coal... burning coal is what put all the mercury in the oceans. Now that Obama is 8 years into his program to stop that they find that they can burn it cleaner. Fu^k 'em, if they didn't clean it up earlier then their industry needs to die. All the industries that are incapable of being conscientious need to die.

Solar is getting better and better all the time. It's the obvious answer. There is enough sun power hitting earth to fuel anything imaginable. Making all the other energy sources expensive is a good way to promote it. Tax Oil some more folks, that shit's gotta go eventually. We can make the roads into solar generators if we want, buildings that provide all their own power from solar are already here. The Mojave Deserts' 25,000 square miles can generate enough electricity to power the whole continent and a lot more... I wouldn't build a house unless it was entirely run from solar panels and I've worked out how to do that in it's entirety... The US is a very stupid place, they build houses without shade and burn stuff to cool them... stupid doesn't begin to describe it. They put solar panels on roofs, convert that dc source to 115 ac to accommodate all the stuff in the house that is built to 19th century needs, the stuff in the house converts it back to DC for internal use... make some shit that runs from solar panels directly morons! Forget the AC shit, it's entirely unnecessary... I can't stand it folks, if inefficiency was brains we'd be geniuses...
Yes, No, and Maybe.
