Rennick is seated on a wooden stool next to the mighty âCrystal Ball with Gordon Lightfootâs guitar. He and a beshoveled Mrs.Rennick await the arrival of their guest to the forecasting room. The famous singer finally enters the room as Rennick fires up the guitar and starts singing the Lightfoot classicâSundown you better take care, if I find youâve been sneaking around my backstairsâ . As soon as Lightfoot is within range Rennick smashes the guitar over his head. âThats for making a pass at my wife and calling her âsugar titsâ. A dazed Lightfoot starts to get off the floor when the âBallâroomâs huge security guard comes flying in and smashes a metal folding chair over his head, âThatâs for calling me sailor and asking if I was going âyour wayâ. He attempts to get up but Mrs. Rennick finishes him off with a frying pan. Rennick orders security to remove the badly beaten Star from the room.âPut that SOB on his motorcycle and escort him off the propertyâ. Rennick barks. Now ready for the daily reading., he takes a quick look at the âBALLâ, walks to the microphone.and will now speak,
âThe mystical Orb is now NEUTRAL calling for FLAT Market action this afternoon. Expect the Averages to roughly maintain current levels this afternoonâ
Well that wraps it up for this week, have a great ...suddenly the security guard who dragged Lightfoot to his Harley rushes the podium and whispers into Rennickâs ear, who turns to the mic, âUmm apparently weâve had an incident out in the parking lot, Iâll let Chief of Security Callahan gives the details. A terrified Callahan takes the mic, â At approx. 13:15 hours the subject Lightfoot was the victim of a violent hit and run. As he preparing to kick start his motorcycle a large pick-up truck jumped the perimeter hedge row Dukes of Hazard style. It was traveling at a high rate of speed and was airborn when it landed on the Lightfoot and his motorcycle. We were able to get an ID on the licence plate of the fleeing Gentleman. Be on the lookout for a totally red Ford pickup with personalized tags which say KRAZYKARL. Miraculously Mr. Lightfoot survived and is being tended to.
