A Russian fighter jet dumped fuel on a U.S. drone and later collided with the American craft over the Black Sea on Tuesday, forcing U.S. personnel to bring down the drone in international waters and prompting Pentagon officials to blast the Russian side as “unsafe and unprofessional.”
Defense Department officials said two Russian Su-27 planes tried to intercept the U.S. MQ-9 drone that was flying in international airspace over the Black Sea. The propeller of one of the Su-27 aircraft struck the U.S. drone, forcing American crews to bring the drone down at sea.
Before the collision, officials said that “the Su-27s dumped fuel on and flew in front of the MQ-9 in a reckless, environmentally unsound and unprofessional manner.” U.S. officials said the conduct of the Su-27s demonstrates an apparent “lack of competence” on the Russian side.
“Our MQ-9 aircraft was conducting routine operations in international airspace when it was intercepted and hit by a Russian aircraft, resulting in a crash and complete loss of the MQ-9,” said U.S. Air Force Gen. James B. Hecker, commander of U.S. Air Forces Europe and Air Forces Africa. “In fact, this unsafe and unprofessional act by the Russians nearly caused both aircraft to crash.”
The general added, “U.S. and allied aircraft will continue to operate in international airspace, and we call on the Russians to conduct themselves professionally and safely.”
U.S. officials said Tuesday’s incident is the latest in a string of unsafe, unprofessional actions in the Black Sea region. The sea is a vital area for Russia’s war effort in Ukraine.

That's what you get when you try to drive a wedge between every country's efforts to establish relations with other countries. I can promise you that the Atlantic relationship will be destroyed for good if it turns out that a single American was involved in the nordstream blowup. Americans then lost influence in most of Asia, most of Africa, Europe, and influence in the middle East is decreasing by the day. Soon the only guys who wanna talk to the US are Mexico and Justin.

Soleimani is a terrorist who killed more people world-wide than Bin Laden. His demise is well-deserved in my opinion --- and in the the opinion of many others who are legal experts and are briefed on intelligence matters. Hence he was taken out.
Well, just don't cry us a river the next time terrorist acts are committed in your country. Because you going and killing others outside your sovereign territory is considered a terrorist act by them worthy of retaliation. You won't ever break the cycle with those acts.
Soleimani and his organization targeted and killed thousands of people outside the sovereign territory of his country. This is why, just like Bin Laden, he was selected to be terminated. If Soleimani and his organization simply targeted victims inside Iran then the U.S. & western nations would probably ignore him. However when you target and kill people worldwide while working to destabilize nations -- the axiom of "mad dogs must be put down" applies.
Your army has killed thousands of the innocent in Africa, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Iraq,... That does not count? Your country destabilize dozens of nations often times for no other reasons than securing oil and other natural resources.
