Oh, I have no doubt China will continue to prosper, I find the notion that if they'll try to retake Taiwan in 100 yrs if they fail now fictional. Doubly so if a major conflict breaks out to ensure that failure.

Well if they win this time, peacfully or by force, there won't be 100 years. If they fail because of US intervention, they will come back. A hot war can drag on for years.

I'd bet on China becoming a democracy and respectful of sovereign nations before betting on their current system of government surviving 100 yrs.

I don’t bet on this, at least not our form of electoral democracy.

By the way, we will stop it to become a democracy. The dark realists will try to win, we would retain supremacy as long as we can, by any means necessary, like bomb the gas pipeline.
