That's going to be great...now everybody will be sending up those types of balloons for the fun of it just to see what will happen (e.g. get shot down). :D

They should have used a missile although probably not approved because of the cost and danger it goes through the ballon without explosion...it then becomes a live missile going down.

Thus, they probably were only authorized to shoot it down with a 20mm - 30mm cannon...hoping that it would just slowly come down from a bunch of holes in it. :D
