Quote from southamerica:
The North Koreans are not bugging the US for one to one talks. The US is begging everybody in sight (including China, Japan, Russia, South Korea) for them to ask the North Koreans to go back to the 6 party talk.
The US have been begging China, please, please, please â help us because North Korea has been saying âGET LOSTâ to the United States since George W. Bush took over in 2001.
Why involve the President, I am sure the North Korean's are not developing nukes because President Bush is in charge.
And why US begging China, could it possibly be South Korea and Japan begging, and not the US?
The North Koreans donât want to talk to the US â the US is the country that has been trying very hard to bring North Korea to follow the rules imposed by the United States on other countries.
So you answer your own question again, by saying that it is the UN mandate, and that is probably the reason for 6 party talks, rather than one on one
The Chinese could care less that North Korea has a few nukes â China cares about the North Korean nukes in the same way that the United States cares about the nukes from Israel, France, UK, Russia, and so on. The US does not care even about the nukes in Pakistan where Osama Bin Ladden is staying and is considered âA Legendâ and a world-class warrior.
of course the Chinese care, because of political instability at home between the progressives and the conservative traditionalists
You asked me âwhy the North Koreans donât go to their friends the Chineseâ â the answer is simple all you have to do is read The New York Times of Friday, October 27, 2006 â the newspaper published an article about what is happening in an area inside China about 60 miles from where the North Koreans had their nuclear test a few weeks ago â the article said that â nothing has changed in that area of the world - before, during or after the North Korean nuclear test â the North Koreans and the Chinese are doing business as usual as if nothing had happened. (And that is the way that should be.)
do you trust the Chinese? and why should anyone else
This is a crisis created by the Bush administration and nothing else. The rest of the world have better things to do with their time than worry about the North Koreans being able to make a few nukes. (After all the United States were never able to win the Korean War in the 1950âs and today the US is looking very bad in Iraq when they are fighting just a bunch of insurgents.)
more like a crisis created by North Korea, why they do a nuke test? Just like the Bush haters who said OBL was a work of the Bush administration, you're probably next going to imply that President Kim is a work of the Bush administration.
And the US did win the Korean war, that is why we have North and South Korea, and that is why this world today is democratic (not imperialist or communist).
Iraq is not just about the US, it is a coallition of more countries than you might imagine, that are fighting that war
To answer your other question: Why the US has become a center of attack from people like meâ â Because I live in the United States and I have been saying for over 5 years that the US government is being run by a bunch of idiots â today we have a crew that is in charge that is destroying the foundations of this country, and they are doing so much damage to this country (not only domestically but in the international front) that the next US president (it does not matter from which party the poor guy comes from) will need a miracle to fix all the damage done during the 8 years of the Bush administration.
please qualify "US government being run by idiots..destroying the foundations" what is your qualitative and quantitative analysis, what foundations
Today when we want to compare the Bush administration another name comes immediately to mind: Robert Mugabeâs government in Zimbabwe, and it is hard to figure out which government is worse.
please qualify and quantify
I never imagined that it would be possible for the United States to be governed by idiots, but today all you have to do is watch the news on a daily basis, and just shake your head in disbelief â how that happened on our watch?
please qualify and quantify your conclusion from "watching news on a daily basis"
If the United States still does control the game as you are trying to imply then why are we talking bout a nuclear crisis between the US and North Korea and also Iran?
please qualify and quantify your "crisis" situation and between whom?
By the way, The New York Times had 2 other interesting articles today Friday, Oct 27, 2006 â the first one mentioned that the major US legal firms are starting to outsource their work to India to be able to reduce the costs that they charge their clients. If I was a major corporation I would expect for all the documentation to be very safe in Manhattan with the legal firm that is helping you on any type of litigation right here in New York â and now major companies are going to have their most sensitive information and corporate secrets shipped all the way to India?
please qualify and quantify your "sensitive information" are those firms really that stupid?
Who knows where all your secret information is going to end up, and how all these information it will be handled by the various parties along the way?
please qualify and quantify your "secret information" and why would someone who wants to be in business decide to self destruct?
The second article on The New York Times was about how New York City (Wall Street) is losing its place as the main financial center in the world.
please qualify and quantify "main," and who is taking over, some city in South America?
And you still have the illusion that the United States controls the game?
The reality today is: the United States does not have the power, the clout, and the prestige even to elect a country such as Guatemala for a seat at the UN Security Council.
neither does anyone else, otherwise it would not be the UN, or may be you are an imperialist
