But you only make money by seeing *future* trends, not ones that happened in the past. And without a crystal ball, how are you going to do that?

I never attempt to catch a falling knife. In a sense, I simply see the value of an asset presently trending, and attempt to capture a small portion of that trend. I would never let my own bias (aka crystal ball) get in the way of what is happening currently.
